This beautiful European jacquard tapestry cushion cover, Bayeux Le Repas, is an extract of Queen Mathilde's Bayeux tapestry. The original, some 230 feet long, is in the Bayeux museum in Normandy. It describes how England was conquered by Normans. Also known as L'Embarquement. Here King Harold prepares for his trip. He enjoys his last meal before taking the open sea in direction of Normandy.
