Gustav Klimt The Kiss woven tapestry features the work of the famous artist Gustav Klimt. One of Klimt's most famous pieces, The Kiss II, is based on the painting by Klimt from 1907. Radial for its time, yet full of sensual beauty, we see two lovers kissing in a close embrace, with their cloaks covered with geometric designs surrounding them like auras. The color palette is beautiful with golds and speckled with multiple colors. The couple meld into the ground of blue, yellow and mauve flowers. The original was painted with gold leaf and is a work typical of Klimt's new definition of Art Nouveau style. The original painting is in the Belvedere palace in Vienna.
