Terracotta Floral Bouquet is a Belgian wall hanging tapestry based on a design by Jan van Huysum for the Duke of Mecklenburg circa 1740. Huysum (1682-1749) was a famous Dutch painter known as the most distinguished flower painter of his time several of his works are on display at the Louvre in Paris. His style was much imitated: the light colours he used, the even lighter backgrounds, and the openness of his intricate compositions became distinguishing features of 18th century Dutch floral still life painting. An ideal piece to display in your home, office, or study.
